CryoParts Optimized Zhaolu

We are now offering an "optimized" version of the Zhaolu D3. The Zhaolu D3 is a great performer stock, however, there is room for improvement. We preserve the basic circuit of the stock unit, as it is well designed around the CS-4398 DAC chip. However, as with any "value oriented" product, certain parts choices are necessitated by the manufacturer to keep the cost low. We replace many of these parts, which allows the D3 to really bloom!

• The three bridge rectifiers are replaced with ultra fast recovery SMD parts.
• Virtually every electrolytic cap in the unit is replaced with much higher performance, ultra low impedence parts.
• The power supply board is rebuilt using ultra high performace Wima metallized paper capacitors for the differential mode AC filtering.
• Common mode AC filtering is added, utilizing our exclusive CF-OFC cryo treated wire and a custom/handwound part.
• All internal input/output signal wiring is upgraded to 4 nines, CF-4NS cryo treated silver.
• Coaxial input 1 is changed to a CF cryo treated BNC connector.
• Coaxial input 2 and the output RCA's are changed to higher quality CF cryo treated parts.
• Extensive EMI and RFI filtering is added to the circuit boards.
• All critical chips and opamps are fitted with a unique EOG damping/shielding material.
• Chassis is extensively damped with custom stainless steel constrained layer damping plates.
• ERS cloth is employed in critical locations to reflect and deflect EMI and RFI.
• Output OPAMP's are upgraded to our preferred part in this unit, selected by listening tests.
• The fuse is replaced with a CF cryo-treated ceramic fuse.
• Faceplate is custom machined indicating we have "optimized" the D3.
