A very Furutech power product, manifesting a devotion to best performance in every element of AC and signal transfer. Considering that what you actually hear is in a very real sense the direct product of the incoming AC then the final few feet are of prime importance for best performance.

Of course, everyone would love to make pure-copper receptacles, but its malleability–lack of stiffness–makes pure copper a poor choice. That’s why you’ll find phosphor bronze or brass in some receptacles. Furutech’s intense engineering scrutiny has resulted in an industry-first, a technique allowing us to use special Furutech 24k gold-or rhodium-plated a(Alpha) pure copper conductors strengthened and sprung by our innovative nonmagnetic Stainless Steel Conductor Spring System that keeps a firm grip yet won’t damage male connector blades or their plated surfaces.

Even the screw-down pressure plates are curved to maximize contact area.

Furutech FP-15A(Cu)-N1 B1 15A AC receptacle. Copper plated deoxidized phosphor bronze, treated with Furutech's Alpha process. This is a brand new receptacle just released at CES 2007.

These are quite a bit better built, with a massive non-magnetic stainless steel backstrap that provides a very rigid structure for the rest of the assembly. The body is much beefier than the older model and much more rigid. In addition, the contacts are also larger and stronger than the older model, allowing better connection to the wires that are in your wall. Plus, as a bonus, the new Furutech's have the tightest grip on the male AC plug that I have experienced. Even better than the Hubbell 5362's, which previously held the crown of "The Tightest Grip of Death". No more droopy power cables!

These receptacles garner our highest recommendation, and are a worthy progression from the near legendary FP-15Acu.

These receptacles are built like a tank; the non-magnetic stainless steel bacdkstrap is incredibly rigid and offers a very stout support for the rest of the receptacle. The plating on these is also quite impressive, with a beautiful mirror finish on all the contacts. Furutech has really outdone themsleves with this receptacle! Very open, very quiet, all in all a great effort! We give these our highest recommendation.
