PS Audio's new Power Port Premier will soon be available. PS Audio has really outdone themselves and created a world class receptacle, able to stand toe-to-toe with any of the other top audio grade receptacles available.

The Power Port Premier is a custom built, hand crafted 15 to 20 amp AC receptacle of the highest quality. The internal contacts are machined out of pure berryllium copper, polished and then direct gold plated. The Power Port Premier will make a major improvement in the performance of connected equipment and will provide a life-long level of excellence.


Every piece of metal in the Power Port Premier is machined from the highest purity non-ferrous material available (pure copper/berryllium for the contacts) and then direct gold plated and polished. You can take a magnet to the Premier and nothing will happen.

But we didn't just build better contacts and connectors. We went the whole route. The body of the premier is cast out of a state-of-the art dielectric material known as PBT rather than the standard plastic or Nylon.

PBT (Polybutylene Terephtalate) is an amazing material that has one of the best dielectric characteristics known and just blows away the standard plastic used in pretty much everything else. So, think about a receptacle as two important parts: the conducting elements that pass the power and the non-conducting elements that isolate it from the outside world. Both are critical components in the perfect transmission of power to your equipment and in the Premier, both are addressed to perfection.

After each metal part is machined, polished, gold plated and polished again, it is then hand assembled into the PBT bottom, tested and then packaged as a Power Port Premier proudly carrying the PS Audio name.

PS Audio has been offering this receptacle for many years now, and the accolades just keep coming in. It is a very good sounding recpetacle stock, but cryo really smooths it out and allows more inner detail through.

FWIW--This is the only nickel plated receptacle that we use and recommend. PS Audio really got something right with the 15 polished coats of nickel.

I'll add that these are built like a tank, sound really nice when cryo'd and, as a huge bonus, they are bargain priced!

PS Audio is even cool enough to offer instructions how to install the receptacle on their website. I recommend that if you are not well-versed and are comfortable dealing with electricity, to hire an electrician. But, if you are competent, the instructions linked are a great help.
